Our program is designed for school age children (ages 6 -12) who are otherwise not receiving a formal Jewish education.

For the 2019-2020 School Year we are opening a special Tots Division for children ages 4-5.

The Aleph Art Room offers a unique twist to the conventional Hebrew School approach.

Using the universal language of the arts, including art, cooking, drama, music and science and yoga, we hope to engage our student’s sense of identity by capturing his/her imagination and attention.

The lessons are multi-sensory and hands-on, ensuring that our students truly experience what they are being taught.

We're impressed with our curriculum, now it's your turn!

HEBREW LANGUAGE & PRAYER

Our students will become familiar with the Hebrew Alphabet, learn to read Hebrew, and recognize common Hebrew words.

We will be using the acclaimed Aleph Champ Hebrew Reading Program. The Aleph Champion Program© is on the cutting edge of Hebrew reading today. Modeled after the Karate/Martial Arts motivational system, it works by dividing different Hebrew reading skills into levels defined by color.  As the children compete and progress, they will earn their color medalions and grow in their accomplishments.

A key component in our program is Prayer. We will be teaching our students common Hebrew prayers such as Shema, Adon Olam, Oseh Shalom etc. and familiarizing our students with the Siddur/prayer book, allowing them to feel comfortable in the Synagogue.

HOLIDAYS AND SHABBAT

Lessons on each Jewish holiday with hands-on demonstrations fill the calendar as we proceed from Rosh Hashana through the holiday of Shavuot.

JEWISH VALUES

Perhaps the most important component of a Jewish education is the understanding that our religion is based on a G‑d given set of values and ethics. Our students learn the Mitzvot and gain an appreciation for their relevance in the 21st century.

TORAH

Overview of the weekly Torah portion, its highlights and practical lessons relevant to our day and age.

JEWISH HISTORY

We take our students from Creation to modern-day Israel including the Exodus from Egypt, The Ten Commandments and the era of the Prophets and Kings. We also focus on Jewish life in medieval times, the Spanish Inquisition, the Holocaust and Jewish Heroes of Yesteryear.

The students will gain an appreciation of our heritage and culture that has been preserved throughout the ages.

ISRAEL

Our students will attain an affection for our heritage and the uniqueness of our homeland Israel.
